Is This Book Right For You?

This book is for you if you're a visual or creative learner who finds flashcards and rote memorisation numbing. Whether you're a complete beginner, a teen, a homeschool family, or an adult learner dreaming of Spain, Mexico, or Latin America — this is built for you. It uses International Spanish, so it's fully accessible worldwide. It works equally well as a standalone resource or alongside the Spanish Short Stories and Essential Phrasebook titles in the Lingo Studio series.

What You'll Learn

1

Vocabulary That Sticks — Visually

Your brain learns through creativity, color, and context — not grinding through flashcard lists. Each of the 10 themed scenes lets you absorb 180+ Spanish words naturally, the way your brain actually prefers to learn.

2

Active Learning With the Seek & Find Method

Every illustrated scene comes with a bilingual Seek & Find checklist. You're not passively coloring — you're hunting, identifying, and connecting words to images. This active method builds far stronger memory anchors than repetition alone.

3

Grammar, Etymology & Creative Writing — All in One

End-of-section Workshops go well beyond the picture. Mini grammar focus sections, etymology fun facts about word origins, Time Traveler creative writing challenges across tenses, and visual quizzes all work together to take your Spanish from basic to brilliant.

4

Built Specifically for Spanish — Not a Generic Translation

This is not a word-swap template. The book opens with a full map of the Spanish-speaking world and a history of the language — from Roman legions to the New World — and closes with a dedicated cultural section covering Madrid, Mexico City, Buenos Aires, Día de los Muertos, Gaudí, Dalí, and Don Quixote.

Meet Your Guide

Meet Your Guide

Hi, I'm Zara: travel blogger, accidental polyglot, and the person who once confidently asked for a horse-drawn carriage at a car hire desk in France. It made for an excellent French lesson.

I grew up in Melbourne, Australia, believing the best way to understand a culture is to stumble through it in its own language (mistakes, mispronunciations, and all). That belief became the Lingo Studio series.

Every title in the range grows from the same idea: real language, learned the way real travellers learn it, an approach I call the Learning Through Travel Method. Whether you pick up a short story, a verb workbook, a phrasebook, or a vocabulary builder, the goal is the same. You are not memorising a language. You are preparing for an adventure.

I am not a distant expert with a PhD. I am the traveller who made every mistake in the book, literally, and turned them into lessons worth remembering.

My journey is your classroom. ¡Vamos!

"Better than a textbook! (IMO)

In my opinion, better than any textbook I remember using when I took Spanish classes! The vocabulary and practice is great! The coloring pages are very detailed and some are better quality than others but all very applicable. The sections are reasonable and the cultural section is wonderful to show the varying cultures around the Spanish language from Spain to Cuba to South America and Mexico!"

"Spanish Coloring!

Wonderful coloring book with clear and concise spanish lessons included! Each picture features a new setting and words that are used to describe the setting. Pronunciations are also included for practice in pronouncing. and then the words are used in simple sentences which is a great way to learn the language. This book is a series which progresses from coloring and additional books are for verb conjugations and tenses. A relaxing way to pick up a new language!"
